Ludwig (aka Louie) is a full brother to Destiny's two previous Champion colts, Legendary HM and Legacy HM. Legendary was Champion foal at the Foal show in Hoya German and Legacy was USDF Reserve HOY Weanling Colts/Geldings and AHS Year End Champion Young Colts/Geldings (weanling/yearling). Destiny continues to prove our farms belief that a strong mare line is essential. Ludwig is built very similiar to his brothers and is already showing a beautiful neck set and uphill gaits at only a day old.

 

At 2.5 weeks old, Ludwig went to his first in-hand show. He was still sorting out his long legs at the trot, but he received 8's on conformation, walk and general impression from judge Toine Hoefs of the Netherlands. He was tied for second on score but ended up 3rd in the large foal class as ties are broken with trot scores. This colt will be a force to reckon with when he matures.

 

Unfortunately, Louie was injured at around 3.5 weeks of age. We are happy to report that Louie has been doing wonderful...leaping and galloping in the fields like any other young colt. He matured into a beautiful young horse and is living a great life in North Carolina.
