I will try to keep this area updated, but signing up for our email newsletter is a much better way to be kept up-to-date on everything. I have started a newsletter archive which is a great way to catch up on what's going on with Hof Mendenhall horses!

Where's Hof Contest was a lot of fun. I will be updating the page shortly with our winners! We got some great photos.

Our Third Annual Open House was July 11th, 2010! It was a great day with lots of people stopping in to visit and meet the mares/foals. Photos from this year's event can be found here.

October 2009: Regalia HM has moved to Hilltop Farm (MD) where his new owner Michelle boards her young horses. We are thrilled to see him go to such a wonderful place to be raised and look forward to the updates!

Highlights of the 2009 Show Season:

Sabatini HM - Champion Colt at Ten Broeke I breed show (MA), 80+%, owned by Kerri and Val

Darshan HM - Champion Young Horse at DLT breed show (ME), owned by Laura

Regalia HM - Champion Colt at AHS Inspection and Reserve Champion colt Ten Broeke II breed show (MA), owned by Michelle

Solitaire - Champion at his AHS Inspection at Stargate in TX, bred by us but foaled out with Weltkin's new owners. Congrats to Weltkin's owners, Annette and Stephanie, and Solitaire's new owners, Carsten and Kim.

August 2009: AHS Inspection News: Solitaire was named Top Colt at the AHS inspection at Stargate farm in TX! We are thrilled for Weltkin's and Solitaire's new owners!!

July 2009: AHS Inspection News: Regalia HM was named Top Colt! This is the fourth year in a row that our mares have produced the TOP COLT at their foal show or inspection. Saviola was 2006 in Germany at the Hoya Foal Show, Legendary HM was 2007 in Germany at the Hoyal Foal Show, Sebastian HM was 2008 at the Rhode Island AHS Inspection and now Regalia HM (2009) at the Rhode Island AHS Inspection. We are very proud of our mares for this accomplishment.

Our Second Annual Open House was in June 2009. It was a bit soggy as it rained quite a bit but we still had many dedicated horse people come out to see the foals. See the photos for that here.

February 2009: What a busy month that flew by! It started with a fun trip to the AHS Annual Meeting in Reno. There are lots of great programs on the horizon for Hanoverian breeders. We especially can't wait to see the Mother-line study un-veiled in Germany in spring/summer of this year. All three of our mares motherlines will be in the study. Along that same front, a friend of ours in Germany has been researching some more on Day Dream's relatives in competition. We will be adding those results to her mareline page soon. We also attended the awards banquet at the AHS meeting and picked up the awards for our 3 US born foals of 2008. We are thrilled to announce that German born, Kadence HM, will be coming to the US in March. He sold to Kelly in ME and will be out at the breed shows in New England. It will be great getting to watch him grow up and then compete in the dressage ring so close to us.

January 2009: Lots of great news to report...Saviola (Sandro Hit - SPS Pakesa) is maturing beautifully and we are hopefully for a good showing at the Licensing in Munich, Germany. He has also been started under saddle and is showing a lot of promise there as well. Video of him under saddle will be available soon. If anyone is interested in Saviola, he will be sold in the stallion auction in Munich on January 31, contact us for bidding details. We have also made our plans to attend the AHS annual meeting. We are very excited to pick up the 2008 foals' awards. We bred 3 foals in the US for 2008 and their results are Champion, Reserve Champion and 3rd place in their divisions. To have every foal at the top of the awards is particularly exciting! Likewise, they all did very well in the USDF placings. With Legacy being the Reserve Horse of the Year and Reminisce being the Horse of the Year in their individual divisions. The three foals earned us a sixth place in USDF Sporthorse Breeder of the Year. Placing us amongst many bigger farms with much large numbers showing. The 2009 foaling season is just around the corner and we are very excited to see what this year brings. With 2 full siblings and 1 cross which we have been waiting to try for a few years, we hope that the 09 foals are just as nice!

Woomera HM attended his first dressage show in January 2009, a schooling show in O'cala, FL. He got the blue ribbon and scored 71.07% at Training-2. Congrats to Woomera and Robin!

With the 2008 show season closed we have exciting Year End Results to report. All three of our foals had excellent results. Full details can be found on the 2008 Show Results page.
