Dakesa HM (aka Kesa) - This beautiful bay filly will be staying with us as a future dressage competitor and then to carry on her mother's fabulous damline as one of our broodmares. Dakesa was our final gift from SPS Pakesa and we treasure her dearly. She reminds us of her mother in many ways, from her big mare ears, to her powerful hind leg, to her extremely smart personality. Dakesa is being raised by our retired tb gelding, Quite Exuberent xx (aka Jack).

 

After her less than easy start in the world, Dakesa has blossomed into a beautiful young filly. As a coming 2 year old, she is showing the movement which we expected from this cross. We are excited to show her in-hand this coming year and look forward to seeing her undersaddle. Dakesa went to her first USDF in-hand show at the end of June 2013. Not only did she load and unload like a seasoned show horse, but she received a 79.1% from Carter Bass for First place! She is no longer our little orphan, she has grown into a beautiful young hanoverian mare.

 

Dakesa HM continued to blossom in 2013 and had a very successful NEDA Fall Breed Show as well. Dakesa showed more confidence in her movement each time she showed on the triangle and finished the season winning the Great American/USDF Breeder Championship New England Finals, Filly Division! We could not be more proud of this young filly!

 

With the ringing in of 2014, it is time to send our young Dakesa off to begin her undersaddle career. She traveled south to our friend, Fie Andersen to be backed and start her undersaddle work. We are thrilled with the reports we have received and are happy to report she is now going walk/trot undersaddle.
