Hexagon's Louisville began his international dressage career in Schore, Holland at "Stal Hexagon" with trainer Leunus Van Lieren and his son, Laurens. Under Laurens, Louisville attended the 2000 Dutch Young Riders National Championships in Nijmegen and the pair were the 2001 Dutch National Champions at the Z1 Level. Louisville and Leunus van Lieren competed at the Grand Prix level throughout 2002 and 2003 with good results at top CDIs, including BRNO, Rotterdam, Breda, and Berlijn. Louisville and Leunus were named to both the 2003 and 2004 Dutch B Dressage Teams.
In 2005, Louisville was imported to the United States by current owner, Karin Offield of Offield Farms. Together, Karin and Louisville earned Reserve Champion Grand Prix placings at the Ox Ridge Summer Dressage and Zada Enterprises WEF Dressage Classic CDI***. In 2006, Louisville won the prestigious USDF Amateur Grand Prix Horse of the Year Award and the USDF All Breeds (KWPN-NA) Grand Prix Adult Amateu Horse of the Year Award with scores consistently over 65%. He was invited to compete at the 2006 USEF National Grand Prix Freestyle Championships where he finished sixth in the Grand Prix and eight in the Grand Prix Freestyle.
