Harmony's Locksley I
Locksley I is the son of the famous Champion Hanoverian stallion Londonderry, the Lauries Crusador xx—Warkant stallion whose consistency in producing outstanding dressage horses has become noted world wide. Locksley’s damline bears even further strength and quality. His dam St Pr St Wildblume (Weltmeyer-Derby) is a third generation States Premium Mare, which emphasizes the quality of the genetic pool from which she descends. Locksley I prevailed at his stallion performance testing, placing 3rd out of 42 stallions at Adelheidsdorf in 2004. Earning a score of 127.54 for dressage, Locksley’s rideability and quality of movement established him at the top of the group. He earned an impressive 9.12 for his trot and also demonstrated jumping ability. His performance in the 2006 qualifiers for the Bundeschampionat further demonstrated his innate rideability and exceptional movement. Locksley was among the top ten individuals qualifying for the 2006 Bundeschampionat (the German National Championships), earning an impressive score of 8.6. His full-brother Locksley II was the 2006 German National Champion dressage horse as a 4-year old, casting this family of impressive horses into the world spotlight. Locksley stood at the Celle State Stud for his first two years of breeding. He produced foals that won local Championships in the Hanoverian breeding districts, including Schillerslage and Lüneberg. Imported to the US by Harmony Sporthorses in 2007, Locksley I is now available to North American breeders, offering abundant genetic value, an intelligent and generous character, along with an elegant influence that lends to the production of our modern Hanoverian sporthorse.
